Jerry A. Bridges, the former head of the Virginia Port Authority, and Bernard Groseclose, who resigned as chief executive officer of the South Carolina Ports Authority in 2009, lead the list of eight candidates for the top job at the Jacksonville Port Authority.
Five of the candidates were recently revealed as part of a public records request first made by the Florida Times-Union
Juan Kuryla, the deputy director in Miami; Michael Moore, the former CEO of Global Container Terminals; and Ivy Sutter, the former CEO of Trailer Bridge are also on the candidate list. Rep. Lake Ray, Jaxport Senior Director Eric Green and the port’s interim CEO, Roy Schleicher, had previously been announced as candidates for the position.
Jaxport’s former CEO, Paul Anderson, now runs the Tampa Port Authority. - Jon Ross
