CMA CGM pursues rate increases

     The liner carrier CMA CGM said it will seek rate increases and peak season surcharges on a number of trades over the next month.    From Jan. 1, the line is pursuing increases of: $600 per TEU from Asia to the east coast of South America. $560 per 20-foot container and $800 per 40-foot container from Asia to the Caribbean. $200 per TEU from Asia to South Africa. $100 per TEU from Asia to the Indian Ocean islands.    From Jan. 5, CMA CGM will seek an increase of $500 ...
