Asia-Europe peak season fee for MSC

The liner carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co. will implement a peak season surcharge on westbound Asia-Northern Europe shipments from June 1, the line said last week. The surcharge , $350 per TEU, is applicable from destination ports in Asia from Japan through Bangladesh. The line also said it will seek to raise rates on the trades from Asia to Mexico and the west coasts of South America and Central America.
