Arkansas Best buying Panther Expedited for $180 million

Arkansas Best Corp. said Thursday that it will acquire Panther Expedited Services from the private equity firm Fenway Partners for approximately $180 million. Panther is an expedited transportation and premium logistics provider that had approximately $215 million in revenue in 2011. Arkansas Best had revenue of $1.9 billion in 2011.
