Air cargo volumes down in Atlanta

   While Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport remained the busiest passenger airport in 2012, cargo volumes decreased by 2.52 percent, year over year.    Airport officials blamed the decline on a decrease in consumer spending and reduced manufacturing.    In the last month of the year, domestic freight and express mail fell by 5.04 percent, year over year, while international traffic declined by 6.05 percent.
