AgTC: More time to comment on FMC rate index proposal

   The Agriculture Transportation Coalition this week asked the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission to extend the comment period for a proposed freight rate index of U.S. agriculture exports that the agency is considering developing.    AgTC Executive Director Peter Friedmann said in the letter that additional time is needed to survey his membership, which includes ag and forest product exporters.
