The new owner of Tropical Shipping said the company saw an uptick in revenue in the first quarter, when compared to the same period of 2011. A specialist in the movement of ocean cargo between the United States and Canada to points in the Bahamas and Caribbean, Tropical had revenue of $84 million in the first quarter of 2012, compared to $80.8 million for the same period in 2011.
