The liner carrier CMA CGM said Friday that Frank Baragona, chairman of CMA CGM America LLC, will retire at the end of 2013.
Baragona, a long-time veteran of the shipping industry, had served as head of CMA CGM America the past nine years. His departure will spark a reorganization at the French line’s offices in Virginia.
He’ll be replaced in November by Marc Bourdon, who will become general manager of CMA CGM America LLC. Bourdon currently holds a similar role for CMA CGM in Brazil. Bourdon’s team in Norfolk will include Todd Rives, chief commercial officer; Ed McCarthy, chief operating officer and Jim Arnold, chief financial officer. Bourdon has worked in the transportation industry for 20 years and joined the CMA CGM Group 14 years ago. - Eric Johnson
