UP taps Texas talent with new Austin IT hub

   Union Pacific said Tuesday it has opened a new information technology center in Austin, Texas.    The intent, UP said, is to bring the railroad closer to the top talent of one of the country’s hottest technology hubs.    UP operates more miles of railroad in Texas - about 6,300 - than in any other state and employs more people in Texas than any state except Nebraska, home to the company’s headquarters in Omaha.    The new IT center is designed to serve as a softwa...
