Echo Global Logistics said it had a profit of $3.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2011, a 33.4 percent increase over the $2.6 million earned in the same 2010 period. Pacer International said it had a profit of $1.1 million in the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31, 2011, compared to a loss of $1.1 million in the same period a year earlier.
